What are cookies?
This website, owned by JORI ARMENGOL Y ASOCIADOS, CORREDURÍA DE SEGUROS Y REASEGUROS, S.L., uses cookies and/or similar technologies: tools used by web servers to store and retrieve information about their visitors, as well as to ensure the proper functioning of the site. These devices allow the server to remember some data concerning the user, such as their display preferences, name and password, or the products they are most interested in.
The user can configure their browser to notify and reject the installation of cookies sent by the website, without affecting the possibility of accessing the content, although the quality of the page's functioning may decrease.
Cookies affected by the regulations and exempt cookies
According to Directive 2002/58/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council, of 12 July 2002, concerning the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector, cookies that require informed consent from the user are those for analytics, advertising, and affiliation.
Exempt cookies are considered to be session and entry cookies, user authentication or identification cookies, security cookies, multimedia player cookies, load balancing cookies, user interface customisation cookies, and plugins for exchanging social content.
Types of cookies
According to who manages the equipment or domain from which the cookies are sent and processes the data obtained:
- First-party cookies: those for which the editor itself is responsible and which are sent to the user's terminal equipment from a device or domain managed by the editor, from which the requested service is provided.
- Third-party cookies: those for which an entity other than the editor is responsible and which are sent to the terminal equipment from a device or domain managed by that other entity. If the cookies are served from an editor's domain but the information is managed by a third party for its own purposes, they cannot be considered first-party.
According to the purpose for which the obtained data is processed:
- Technical: allow navigation and the use of the website's options or services, including those used by the editor for site management and operation.
- Preference or personalisation: allow information to be remembered so that the user accesses the service with certain characteristics, such as language or the number of results to display.
- Analysis or measurement: allow the monitoring and analysis of user behaviour, in order to introduce improvements based on the analysis of usage data.
- Advertising: allow the management of advertising spaces that the editor has included, based on criteria such as edited content or the frequency of ads.
- Behavioural advertising: collect information about the user's preferences and personal choices (retargeting) to manage advertising spaces as effectively as possible.
According to the retention period:
- Session: collect and store data while the user accesses the website.
- Persistent: data remains stored on the terminal and can be accessed and processed for a period defined by the cookie's responsible party, which can range from a few minutes to several years.
The cookies we use
This website uses its own technical cookies and, in some forms, local browser storage. They do not require consent because they are strictly necessary to provide the service you request (Article 22.2 of Law 34/2002, of 11 July, on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce). Session cookies are only installed in the client area and employee intranet, upon identification.
Among these technical cookies is the Google reCAPTCHA service, which we use exclusively to protect our contact, application, and claim forms from automated submissions. It is a necessary security measure for the provision of the service you request when writing to us, and therefore is exempt from prior consent; accordingly, it is only loaded when you start filling out one of these forms and not during simple browsing of the site. The processing that Google performs on this data is governed by its own privacy policy.
Additionally, and only if you accept it in the cookie notice, we use two third-party services that are loaded via Google Tag Manager, a tag manager that does not install its own cookies:
- Analysis: Google Analytics, to know in aggregate form which pages are visited and to improve the site.
- Advertising: LinkedIn's Insight Tag, to measure the outcome of our campaigns on LinkedIn and to be able to show you our ads on that network.
You can accept both categories, only one, or none. Until you accept them, none of these services will load. Following the guidelines of the Spanish Data Protection Agency, we detail below their identification, typology, and function.

How to disable cookies?

If you withdraw consent, we remove the cookies from that service installed on joriarmengol.com. Those stored by LinkedIn on its own domain, linkedin.com, can only be deleted from your browser, using the paths indicated below.
You can also block or delete cookies from your browser settings. Please note that if you block technical cookies, the client area and intranet will not be able to keep your session open.

Profiling
