Limit of indemnity
Maximum amount that the insurer will pay per claim or per insurance period. Different from the sum insured and the sublimits per guarantee.
In practice
When the limit is per period and not per claim, the second claim of the year is charged on what was left from the first. In cyber and product liability, it is advisable to know which of the two forms has been contracted.
