Sublimit
Lower limit applicable to a specific cover within the general limit of the policy.
In practice
This is where surprises concentrate: employer's liability, product recall, damage to neighbours or social engineering. A limit of ten million with a sublimit of one hundred thousand in the cover needed is a limit of one hundred thousand.
