Reservation of rights

Communication with which the insurer attends to a claim without yet commenting on the cover, so as not to lose the possibility of disputing it.

In practice

Receiving it does not mean that the claim is rejected, but it does mean that the discussion is open. It is the time to document and not to wait: what is proven then weighs more than what is alleged later.
