Personal accident insurance
Accidents can happen at any time and place. Minimise their consequences with insurance that allows you to recover without financial worries.
What is accident insurance
Accident insurance pays a capital sum if the insured person dies or is left with a permanent disability as a result of an accident. It differs from life insurance in that it only responds to accidental causes, making it much cheaper, and in that disability is compensated according to a scale, with a percentage of the capital proportional to the injury sustained.
Advantages of accident insurance
It is the cover with the best relationship between contracted capital and premium in the entire personal market.
High capitals for very little
By covering only accidental causes, the premium is a fraction of that of life insurance. It allows reaching protection capitals that would otherwise be unaffordable.
It is collected in addition to everything else
It is compatible and cumulative with Social Security, with the insurance of the responsible vehicle and with any other policy. It does not deduct from anything.
The sequela is also compensated
It doesn't have to be the worst: a permanent injury receives a percentage of the capital, just when housing needs to be adapted or a change of profession is required.
The company complies with its convention
Many sectoral agreements require a capital for work accidents. Not having it makes the company directly responsible for that amount.
Who it is for
Workers with collective agreements
Many agreements require the company to contract accident capital for its staff.
Self-employed and manual trades
Profiles with high physical exposure whose ability to generate income depends on their integrity.
Athletes and enthusiasts
Practitioners of risky activities, inside or outside of a federation.
Complement to life insurance
Those who want to strengthen family protection at a much lower cost than increasing life capital.
What makes the difference
It is an affordable product, and that apparent simplicity hides conditions that vary greatly from one company to another.
24-hour cover or work-only
Many collective agreement policies only cover work accidents. Most serious accidents occur outside working hours.
Disability scale
The percentage applied to each injury varies greatly between companies. Two policies with the same capital can pay very different amounts for the same injury.
Professional or generic disability
Whether disability is assessed in relation to your specific profession or any job completely changes the likelihood of receiving compensation.
Exclusion of common sports
Activities as common as skiing or mountain biking are excluded in some policy terms.

Definimos coberturas, límites, franquicias y exclusiones aceptables. Decidimos qué se transfiere al asegurador y qué se retiene de forma consciente.
Negociación con el mercado
Presentamos el riesgo a las aseguradoras con las que trabajamos y negociamos condiciones. Somos independientes: no pertenecemos a ninguna compañía.
Acompañamiento y siniestros
Revisamos el programa cada renovación y, cuando ocurre el siniestro, actuamos como tu parte técnica frente al asegurador hasta el cobro.
Lo que más nos preguntan sobre accident insurance
What is the difference with life insurance?
Life insurance pays for death from any cause, including illness. Accident insurance only for accidental causes, which represents a fraction of the causes of death. That is why it is much cheaper, and why it should not replace life insurance but complement it.
Does it cover accidents outside of work?
Only if 24-hour cover is contracted. Convention policies are usually limited to work-related and commuting accidents. It's worth checking, as most serious accidents in a person's life occur during their free time.
How is compensation for disability calculated?
By applying to the contracted capital the percentage that the policy's scale assigns to that sequela. The loss of a finger may represent 5% and the total loss of vision 100%. Comparing scales is more important than comparing premiums.
Is convention insurance mandatory?
In many sectoral collective agreements, yes, with minimum capitals for death and disability resulting from work accidents. Non-compliance generates direct liability for the company for the uninsured capital, which in practice is equivalent to self-insuring without knowing it.
Does it cover the sequelae of a traffic accident?
Yes, and it usually includes specific additional capital for traffic accidents. It is compatible and cumulative with the compensation due from the insurance of the responsible vehicle: they are different concepts and both are collected.
Up to what age can it be contracted?
Most companies accept contracting up to 65 or 70 years and maintain cover until 70 or 75, sometimes with a reduction in capital from a certain age. It is advisable to review this reduction clause, as it often goes unnoticed.
